Deltasolar From a one-room apartment to the Mole Antonelliana: we solve even complex problems

RADIANT PANELS > RADIANT WALLS

DELTASOLAR also produces and installs radiant walls. This heating system is used when it is not possible to install radiant floors; radiant walls are normally used when:

A) There is already an expensive floor, such as mosaics, or fine wood parquet etc. and it cannot be removed
B) There is a transparent floor made in thick crystal in between the floors
C) The surface of the floor is not big enough to achieve the desired temperature with radiant floors; for this reason an integration is required, and it can be done by thermal furniture or radiant walls. This is normally done in the bathrooms or in other specific rooms with high thermal dispersion on the walls that cannot be successfully insulated.

Our radiant floors are applied on a layer of insulating material that is placed on the inner side of the walls. On this insulating material are applied specific metallic grids, particularly profiled according to a Deltasolar’s patent, on which the reticulated polyethylene pipe is attached. These grids make it easier to plaster the walls. The pipes of the radiant walls are normally connected to the manifold that distributes the circuits of the radiant floors.

COUNTER-INDICATIONS

We believe that the radiant panels should be used only when it is not possible to use radiant floors for the following reasons:

1) Too many times we had to do some restorations because, even after several years, some customers forgot that their walls were provided with radiant panels and damaged the pipes by digging a hole in the wall to place a picture, or a towel rail in the bathroom.
2) While a radiant floor normally has a large surface, the radiant wall is generally smaller, and it has to be completely bare – no pictures, bookcases and furniture can be placed there – otherwise it will damage the pictures and the furniture and, most importantly, it cannot distribute the heat.
3) It is expensive! It costs more than twice as much as a radiant floor, and the construction workers normally ask for more money because they have to pay extra attention in plastering the walls.
