Human body’s temperature is 36,5°C and a person needs to exchange heat with the surrounding environment: the optimal climate can vary, according to the humidity percentage and the type of clothing, from 18-22°C during winter to 24-28°C during summer. Below or above these values, the discomfort due to coldness or heat can be unbearable. During winter, the water in our systems reaches 30-40°C (it varies according to the external temperature), so that we can have a temperature of 24-27°C on our radiant floors – 10°C below the body temperature. During summer, with the air-conditioning, the water temperature reaches 14-16°C, according to the relative humidity, and avoiding to generate condensation phenomena on the floor. Optimal conditioning during summer is obtained by adding specific dehumidifiers, which can decrease the sultriness.
With our low temperature radiant floors, both during winter and during summer, we can create a natural comfort, very similar to spring or fall temperatures. There is no discomfort, and the heat doesn’t stratify causing high thermal dispersions towards the ceiling, as it happens with the older systems based on heaters or hot air. We have removed all the inconveniences of the previous heating systems: we customize the system environment by environment in relation to the thermal dispersion on the cold walls. This way we can achieve an even temperature, conditioning in particular the areas used by the people, without wasting energy on those areas that remain unused such as windows, doors, external walls or ceilings.
FAST SET UP REACHING THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE
Setting up the system and reaching the desired temperature is quite easy and quick, because the pipes are placed a few centimeters underneath the floor and, aside from being thermally insulated, they are designed to maximize the thermal exchange surface. It will take only a few hours to warm the whole house entirely.
